Second Modern Warfare 2 map pack out June 3

Activision has announced that the second of its planned Modern Warfare 2 map packs will release on June 3 for Xbox 360. The "Resurgence" pack will feature five maps, and "follow on the heels of the record-setting Stimulus Package of maps," according to the press release. For those who can't read between the lines, that means that the price will probably also follow the Stimulus package, at the controversial $15 cost. It's hard to see why it wouldn't, though, after the Stimulus maps sold 2.5 million in a week.

This is the second of two planned timed exclusives for Xbox 360 owners. PlayStation 3 and PC players received the maps roughly a month later, so we'll likely see the Resurgence pack hitting those platforms sometime in July. This map pack is being worked on by what's left of Infinity Ward. We'll have to see if that fact hurts consumer confidence in the map quality.
