Grand Theft Auto… One of the most popular yet controversial game series’ ever made. Hard to believe that it all started as a 2D top down game back in 1997! Now of course, it’s built on a 3D engine and is now tearing up the latest consoles in HD.

Developed in Scotland by Rockstar North, it’s definitely one of the finer British gaming exports and it’s still got plenty of life left in it yet. For years it’s managed to fend off clones, such as Saints Row and True Crime but Rockstar, doing what they do best, poked fun at them along the way.

The Grand Theft Auto gaming series is Rockstar’s cash cow, it’s what they make best and always has a place in many gamers hearts despite the controversies. It’s the 5th best-selling game series of all time so it’s silly not only from a business point of view but from a gamer’s point of view to end it now. Where next for Grand Theft Auto though? A sequel is most likely in the works but what do we want in it?

What do I, a long term fan and self styled GTA addict, want from the game?

How about for Rockstar Games to not whore themselves out to consoles. How about equal treatment for all 3 major platforms. How about releasing the game on PC on the same date as with consoles instead of 6 months down the line. How about an acknowledgement that PC gamers made the series the success it is today and how much they appreciate us. How about Rockstar admit they have become the commercial vehemoth which their very own games mock at every opportunity.

But yeah, without wanting to sound like a hypocrite, WHERE DO I PRE-ORDER!!!! I NEEEEDS MEEE SUUMM GTA!!!!
